Last updated September 19th, 2026

Surge hosts projects published by independent developers, on surge.sh domains and on their own domains. If you find one being used for phishing, malware, spam, or other misuse, or one that infringes your rights, report it here. Reports are read by a person.

How to report

Email abuse@surge.sh and include:

  • the full address of the project, including the path if it matters
  • what the problem is: phishing, malware, spam, copyright or trademark infringement, illegal content, or something else
  • anything that helps us confirm it, such as a screenshot or the message that led you to the page
  • for copyright claims, the work you say is infringed and a statement that you own it or are authorized to act for the owner

What happens next

Projects confirmed to be phishing, distributing malware, or hosting illegal content are taken down and the account is closed. Other reports are taken up with the account holder. Either way, you hear back when the report is resolved.

Security issues

If you believe you have found a security issue in Surge itself, email support@surge.sh with "security" in the subject line.
